QUOTES

“It was a very special moment for John's spirit was awakening and he was opening up, I had touched and resonated with his soul. It was more than just cyber sex, more than making love with someone you loved, it was blending souls as soul mates do and it was an incredible moment for the two of us. We both cried beautiful happy tears”
Astrid Brown, A Psychic Affair: A Romantic Novel
"I don't know what you have done, my mind is not my own
For you have magicked me for my feelings for you have grown
I did not set to fall in love, for you must have cast a spell
For you have bewitched me and all my doubts dispel
What spell have you cast to enchant me like this?
To make me fall in love and ache for your kiss”

“I heard your whispered fantasies so clear
Softly told in my ear
I opened my eyes you weren't there
So real my dream, I was so aware
But we'll meet again so certainly
In our whispered fantasy”
Astrid Brown, Whispered Fantasies

FIRST BORN

FIRST BORN

I may never have seen you grow
Nor your little character know
But in winter’s depths you’re in my mind
No matter how many years have passed in time
Into this world you I was meant to welcome
And for why? I couldn’t fathom
They say for this world you were in spirit too pure
Of that I am certainly sure
If that was meant to comfort it did not
And time has passed but I’ve not forgot
The years may have softened the hurt
And other tiny blessings may have brought much comfort
For in another world you may have grown
But you were always and will be my first born

INTO THIS MYSTERIOUS WORLD TO PEEP

INTO THIS MYSTERIOUS WORLD TO PEEP

Who knows what’s in store in my dreams tonight
Will it be within my grasp or take flight?
Will I be teased as is often the case?
Or will a new path beckon and be my fate?
What ever happens there’s an answer there
Likely the answer is not fair
We may not understand what at first is shown
But when we’ve worked it out our soul will have grown
My eyes are heavy it’s time for sleep
As I journey into this mysterious world to peep

DON'T CROSS THE LINE

DON'T CROSS THE LINE

Don't mistake my kindness for being weak
Bully me not for being meek
Don't mistake my sensitivity as being easy to control
Nor think I'll back down and take a submissive role
I can be very patient most of the time
And I'm generally calm unless you cross the line
But if you do I have a whole other side
One you don't want to see for I choose to hide
I have my principals for which I will fight
Then you will see me in an entirely new light
Believe me its not a face you'll choose to see
For I'm better a friend than an enemy be
I'm tenacious to the end it's one of my traits
So don't cross the line and risk tempting fate

MISTRUST

MISTRUST

What do you when all trust is gone?
Do you try and hope and carry on?
Or reminisce and dwell on the past
If trust has gone you have to ask
Should I keep my fingers crossed?
And carry on with cracks over glossed
A relationship amounts to two
Your observations and the other’s points of view
And like everything in the Universe
There’s give and take and sides diverse
Like Yin and Yang come together in harmony
There requires a balance in this diversity
Each needs to respect the other’s side
There can’t be secrets there to hide
No one is perfect that’s not the issue
It’s conversing, and supporting each other through
The good and the bad, the tough and the easy
And honouring promises made then so truly
If trust has gone and then you are left with nothing
There is no point to carry on forever battling
It’s time to move on to experiences new
Else let mistrust kill and destroy you

CONVINCE ME

CONVINCE ME

You turn up, like it’s where you belong
Stating you were here all along
I want to believe what your lips say but can I trust your eyes?
Or is this another hoodwink, another guise?
You’re so believable but I’m not the same person
Does your story add up do I believe your version?
You hurt me so much all my trust you destroyed
With your complicated weave of deceit and my heart you toyed
How do I know if this is another fairy story?
Dressing it up and guilting it with all love’s glory
You scarred me this lifetime with a wound that won’t heal
You need to prove to me you’re genuine and what you say is real
Words are empty, promises are hollow
I need to know what your soul feels for your thoughts are shallow
Speak to me with your soul, keep your words out off the equation
Convince me by your soul’s demonstration

IN YOUR OWN BED YOU MUST LIE

IN YOUR OWN BED YOU MUST LIE

What lies beneath that stare?
That look of distain that glare
You would think I was the one who did wrong
But it's not me who's heart hate's made it's home
You've built your own prison high walls
Haven't you not heard pride comes before a fall?
And from that high Ivory tower you've made your residence
That's a long, long way to fall from grace
A home furnished with stupid egos and pride
And decorated with hatred where you hide
It's lonely up there all on your own
For there's no one to kiss you better when you fall down
But wait that's what you wanted, pride was paramount in your eyes
After all you made your own bed and in it you must lie

THERE'S SECRETS IN THOSE EYES

THERE’S SECRETS IN THOSE EYES

There’s secrets in those eyes
From behind them deceit lies
Your eyes reflect your soul and what is true
You cannot hide but can be seen right through
No cloak nor veil can hide
Where lies and fabrications reside
No matter what web of deceit you create
Karma uncovers and dictates your fate
For truth radiates a golden bright halo
And liars’ are murky, dark and shallow
So do not lie for your woven web of deceit will unravel
And expose your dark soul for truth will always win the battle

A BALL AND CHAIN

A BALL AND CHAIN

It's always the same, the same look, same stare
Saying nothing like you don't care
So why do you come? why appear?
If you don't want to know or want me near
You stand there in defiance
Close enough but surely there's always that distance
Looks to me you’re the one with the troubled mind
With an aura of arrogance but you will find
It's not me you're trying to haunt
But your own self for your all your stubbornness you flaunt
For your pride has become a ball and chain
Your hurt and haunted and you've only yourself to blame

LIKE AN EAR WORM SONG

LIKE AN EAR WORM SONG

Is this my imagination? or is this real
Can this be true what I feel?
Perhaps it’s all coincidence
For nothing adds up nor makes sense
Should I think with my head or use my heart?
But I’d be going against my beliefs if this i start
What I need is confirmation
I need proof tenacious is my determination
I seek the truth but for how long
Questions in my head like an ear worm song
Please keep away if watching is all you want to do
For I’m heartedly sick of being haunted by you

I AM YOUR ANSWER AND FINAL CONCLUSION

I AM YOUR ANSWER AND FINAL CONCLUSION

I am a want, a need, a desire
To know me creates and kindles a fire
A fire that cannot be extinguished
A soul’s craving for eternal anguish
Never can you forget me once knowing
I’m an ache in your psyche, a gnawing
I will be forever tattooed on your heart
A grasp on your soul to eternally impart
No matter how far you may run
You will know I can never be undone
For once you have tasted my presence
Your life will be incomplete without me nor make sense
For I am your solution
The missing part of you, your answer and final conclusion

THE TREE

THE TREE

The tree
Grew from a seedling be
At first a seed from falling fruit
Tenderly growing its first green shoot
A twig it stretched to become a seedling
Becoming stronger, taller stretching
In the spring it grew blossom
Then one year grew fruit upon
Spring came and summer too
Autumn and winter time just flew
The fresh green buds opened and un curled
Rich dark green leaves grew and unfurled
Then came autumn imparting a red hue
Still the tree grew and grew
Icy frosts chilled
Bent its branches in the wind
Bare and cold winter came
But tall it stood just the same
We can learn from the tree
Life didn't faze it, carried on regardlessly
Nor could it hide nor run away
But rooted to the spot it had to stay
Yet it carried on regardlessly
So much had it been though it's history
Cycles came and cycles went
Some were good and others weren't
But it had the tenacity to carry on
As a result it grew tall and strong
As this is how it could be for you and me
Take 'a leaf'  out of the book of the tree.

THE SEA

THE SEA

What is it about the sea?
The stories and the mystery
For what lurks beneath the waves
Many secrets and sailors graves
What can be soothing can change in an instant
Tides and currents crashing and fervent
A bringer of glad tidings or a messenger of doom
The oceans never take for granted nor assume
The sea has a life all of its own
A creator of life
And for some a tombstone

SHARED DESTINY

SHARED DESTINY

My love are you awake or are you sleeping?
And if asleep I wonder what you're dreaming?
Or perhaps you are sitting thinking?
I often wonder about you at different times of day
And if I could write to you, what I'd say
And as the time passes, there comes a difficulty
It just becomes more of an impossibility
I know at some point we will converse
Even if that is some other time or place in the Universe
And I know once more our paths will cross
For that shared destiny lies before us
I cannot make you see
For only you can open your eyes to destiny

YOUR LORDSHIP

YOUR LORDSHIP

I have written so many words of what I want to say
More and more each coming day
And yet there aren't enough days in the week
To find the answers I wish to seek
You and I have unfinished business
For I need an explanation for your cruelness
I didn't deserve those cruel words you spewed
You listened to the lies and you misconstrued
I thought you had more sense and was intelligent
As in your ivory tower you sit in judgement
One day you will find your tower will collapse
And I'll be there watching and have the last laugh
And then you will know the true value of love and friendship
No longer will you be lording it your lordship!
For then you'll find yourself all alone
So deserving of one with a heart of stone

NIGHT

NIGHT

I love the sounds of the night
How different in the darkness as opposed to daylight
Everything is softly hushed
Barely no traffic nor the office rush
The moon's light is silver and eery grey
Shadows bring a mystery not present in the day
No bird song but a cat cries miaow
No doubt hunting and on the prowl
Whispering amongst themselves the trees
Gossiping telling secrets to the breeze
How the day changes when dawn arrives
Another day another challenge to survive
But I love best of all the night's serenity
The secrets to unlock of it's mystery
The soothing colours of darkened blue
And the enigma of the moon's silver hue

ANOTHER WORLD

ANOTHER WORLD

Tonight my darling I am waiting
So excited in anticipation
Longing to be held so tight
Lying with you all through the night
I ache, I miss you the minute we depart
Pain cuts through and hollows my heart
But every night we can be together
No storm, no natural disaster, nor the weather
Nor distance, nor time can compete
For in your presence I am complete
I never thought I'd have heaven on earth here
Yet here I have you always near
It's different I know with the linking of souls for sure
But it's beyond the physical, perfect and pure
And so tonight I lie waiting patiently
For sleep to come to make our journey
Where we meet up every night forever
In another world embracing together
Some may say I'm delusional
But that's because they think with a brain that's rational
There's much more in heaven than on earth believe me
They need to open up their hearts and set their souls free
For then they would see just what we have is so special
From another world, divine and not earthly dimensional
I hear you call my name so sweetly
Darling I'm here, I'm coming presently
As my eyes close to welcome sleep
We are blessed to have this other world in which to peep

ONE MORE TIME

Flickering Candles, A favorite image for Myspace, etc. --I also create animated images of all kinds, as well as design websites--come see me @ Angel Illuminations @http://www.angelilluminations.com
ONE MORE TIME

Late summer breeze blows through the open window
And flickers the candles brighter they glow
Kisses long and slow, firm arms embrace
The glow of passion in your face
Vanilla scent from the candle wafts by
As gentle smiles become moans and sighs
Two bodies rhythmic and entwined
Locked together and enshrined
Softly illuminated in candle light
Lovers in the throes of passion's delight
Awaking in the cool light of dawn
She awoke to find her lover gone
For then she realised it was just a dream
A wished for hallucination it would seem
But tonight she will wish again one more time
To lie in her lovers arms so divine
And hoped he would dream of her too tonight
So she could set his heart and soul alight

Reviews

Great read, it's not the usual romantic novel it's a bit of a cross genre being informative and paranormal but it had me hooked, I would love it if the author wrote a sequel as I would love to know how the characters relationship goes I do hope the author does Sarah65 __________________________ Amazing read and was engrossed until I finished reading, this book is more than a novel it helps understand the psychic's world and has such depth of feelings Stella Matthews An interesting read different but I really enjoyed this book I liked the factual glossary at the end, it helped make sense of the paranormal happenings throughout S Williams
