THE UNKNOWN
Twilight chill fills the air as silver hue
Takes over what was sky blue
Casting shadows creating camouflage
Leaves rustle with the blades of grass to hiss and argue
The night is a different world from day
The unknown stirs and comes out to play
Such mischief makers create fear where there was once none
Spreading alarm as day ends and night has begun
But it’s only fear when we cannot see
In the bright light of day it wouldn’t be
It’s fear of the unknown that causes fright
It builds and builds causing panic to take flight
In the shadows of night when we feel fear
Ask the angels to grant us light
And a guiding hand will show us the way
To turn the fear of the night to the calm of the day
