WELCOME NOT
Why do crowd my dreams and sleep?
No one invited you around me to peak
I’ve banned you and you I’ve blocked
But still in my slumber the door you knock
Who let you in? it sure wasn’t me
Haven’t you got the message? can’t you see?
You’re not welcome here anymore
So don’t you dare come through my dreams’ door
You made me very aware, in fact crystal clear
You no longer held me dear
You hurt me badly when I’d done nothing wrong
My heart it bled for you I ached so long
And now you think you can change your mind on a whim
My arms open welcoming you in
That’s not how love works, feelings disregarded and forgot
So until you realise and offer apologies don’t you knock
You can’t gate crash my dreams and you’re welcome not
