ENVY
Green is the colour of envy like a creeping twisting vine
An emotion that will eat away your heart in the fullness of time
It's OK to want to be successful and have ambition and drive
But eventually with envy it will rot your soul and destroy your life
Like a vine it needs controlling an emotion with no recourse
For there's no going back as envy grows in force
Love will leave you, hate will become your friend
For it will be too late to heal and to make amends
For all too soon your soul will become black
As envy like a choking vine will suffocate your heart
