DAISY
Don't be fooled by such frailty
Nor such tiny white simplicity
Lying in your bed of green
Trampled underfoot ignored and unseen
But beneath unseen by eyes
A strength and tenacity lies
Roots dig deep unreliquishing never
A force within continuing ever
There's a lesson of which we should take heed
Never give up in our hour of need
For if a tiny white flower can be so tenacious
Then surely we can take up the chalice
And toast such a brave flower strong
And feel such humility in this world we belong
