AUTUMN HUES
Summer has grown weary, tired and jaded
Bright summer blooms long have faded
Comes the Autumn fresh and bright
Warming colours red, gold such a beauteous sight
From tired greens to burnished reds
Scattering an autumnal carpet over sleeping flower beds
Ripened berries full, juicy, sweet and ready
Another harvest time here already
The crisp air cool and chilled
Brings forth Jack Frost designs on window sills
And salads change to soups and stews
The warming colours of Autumn's hues
