If five minutes I could only spend it would be with you

There would be no time for wasting words, no lies only what's true

I would say what's in my heart and from my soul I'd spill

All my feelings I'd unfold how I felt, I will

If I could turn back time, I'd go back to the past

And bare my heart and soul to you, like when I saw you last

However there's point in dwelling on what we cannot change

For only the present and future we can arrange

But let this serve a lesson so no one makes this mistake

Tell those whom you love, how you really feel

For there may come the time, when you wish the past was real

At dawn's first light I dreamed of you

So beautiful a dream it was too

It was so real and colourful

No other way to describe it, but beautiful

You were so tender standing there

I knew it was you even though you'd changed your hair

A little older perhaps I could see

But you stood there and looked at me

On your face such a brilliant smile

We stood together for a while

I touched your face to see if you were real

You sure were you felt so real

And as I saw you I fell in love again

All the old emotions felt just the same

A Poignant dream that brought happy tears

All forgotten the pain of the passing years

You were so happy to see me I could see it too

For this made me realise I'm still in love with you

For although I woke with tears in my eyes

Your soul is with mine and held in my heart deep inside

A BEAUTIFUL DREAM

The air was humid and twilight beckoned

Little beads of sweat run down on your chest and glistened

The heavy scent of lilies hung in the air

As you reached and pulled back a strand of my hair

And titling my chin you kissed me firmly

You nibbled my ear so teasingly, playfully

And gently taking my hand

We lay down on the warm soft sand

We smiled and laughed as the waves came in

But we didn't  care as my hair you unpinned

All alone except for the moon

Bodies entwined in loves cocoon

The lapping waves muffled our sighs

And there we lay until the first chink of sunrise

In dawn's first light as I opened my eyes 

To the tenderness of your teasing kiss

Am I really here? such paradise is this

Alas not it would seem

For I have awakened from a beautiful dream

Oh Goddess Moon mistress of the skies

Please listen to my prayers hear my cries

I have sent out thoughts up to the stars

Wondering if they have heard my prayers from so far

I ask that you help someone open their heart

To see for themselves what drove us apart

For them to recognise what is true

I know it's a lot to ask of you

But over the decades you must have seen

How many misconstrued and misunderstandings there's been

And could have been avoided so easily

If only they'd have opened their heart and viewed the situation clearly

Goddess Moon one wish is all I want

I know it's a lot to ask as I lament

But you are my final hope and I hope you'll see

How much I need this wish, please help me

I hear you my daughter down below

Don't give up hope nor let it go

For you can achieve your dreams and desires

But some input from you is required

Firstly you must think positively

And banish from your mind all negativity

And visualise your wish and it will be cast

Don't dwell on what has happened in the past

But look to the future and all it's surprise

And see the gold in every sunrise

Hold onto hope believe and manifest

For then the heavens will take care of the rest

But no matter what the elements bring, you're stronger than we know

For no matter what storms and the winter winds may bring

You never fail to rise up and regenerate each and every spring

For life is full of cycles each with a beginning and an end

For no matter what pain occurs know we will regenerate and mend

You cannot ever hope to understand what joy is to the heart

Unless you have experienced pain, the kind that pulls us apart

For this is what life is about, a series of seasons some good and some bad

For like the tree that bends in winter winds, its blossom makes us glad

No matter what season you are in just now, whether its winter, summer or spring

Know that winter doesn't last forever and soon the birds they sing
