WHEN THE AIR WAS HEAVY AND THE SUN WAS HOT
The air was heavy and the sun was hot
Oh I remember, I haven't forgot
The sea was cool just as well
For I fell completely under your spell
You mesmerised me I was entranced
The candle flames flickered and danced
You took not only me but my soul
Wantonly my heart you stole
But suddenly as a September breeze
Something changed I felt the freeze
I felt empty you took all I had and robbed me blind
To the broken hearts grave yard you had me consigned
Now here you come like it never mattered
After abandoning me with my heart bruised and tattered
You expect me to pick up the fractured parts
And run to you with open arms
No explanation of what you did
Expecting me to forget and forgive
Alas I remember, I haven't forgot
When the air was heavy and the sun was hot
