A SONNET OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
There are many types of love, for a father or a mother
For a child, a son or daughter a sister or a brother
And there is love for a friend, a teacher or grandmother
There is dearest love for a pet and passionate for a lover
So many types and facets but there is a love greater than any other
It's so different from the physical and often transient kind for a lover
It's selfless, and special nor does it have any kind of ties
It can hurt badly, elate and even make you cry
There are no preconditions nor hidden agendas either
It's devoted, its special, nor does it blame the other neither
It's love in its purity, so special and so true
Nor does it matter if it hurts so badly too
It's beautiful and spiritual, yet allows the other to fly free
Unconditional love is the purest of all and lives for all eternity
