IT'S NOT ONLY GOLD BUT FOOL'S GOLD THAT GLISTENS
Unless you talk how will you know what is true
No one is perfect and that applies to you
All you hear is one side
Did it ever occur to you that they lied
I never thought you to be so gullible
Always believed in your integrity and were reliable
But OMG you're still the fool
You played according to the liars rules
There's something you should know
Liars never prosper and fair-weather friends always go
They cry crocodile tears all too often
And when you need an ear to listen and shoulder to lean on
You'll find with a click of their heels they'll turn and run
Letting you down and on to their next victim
To tell more tales, deceit, fabrication and lies
Take your head out of the sand open your ears and your eyes
Listen to your soul for it knows what is true
For if you opened your heart you'd hear it talking to you
Many hide under a guise
Create an empty facade and pull the wool over your eyes
Your heart knows who's real and who's not all they say
I hope the truth will dawn on you one day
It would have been sooner had you listened
Its not only gold but fool's gold that glistens.
