Dear J: Poetry from the Soul
New poetry book explores all aspects of love and spirituality to heal and uplift readers.
EDINBURGH, Scotland – Traverse an exhilarating and uplifting journey of emotions in the poetry collection Dear ‘J’: Poetry from the Soul (published by AuthorHouse), by psychic Maggie Brown.
“The book has a spiritual feel…there is a philosophical message in the work and as a result it uplifts and gives comfort to the reader,” says Brown. “I began writing poetry because I couldn’t find the right poem to send to someone. Sometimes it’s difficult to find the right words to say to a loved one, and within this collection there are many ways to express feelings.”
Dear ‘J’ touches on all facets of the theme of love, including anticipation, excitement, passion, despair and longing. The book is meant to inspire and give hope to those who are navigating their own confusing emotions, whether that be love, happiness or sadness.
Brown claims she was inspired by a channeled spirit while writing the book. Her favorite poem is “Dream”:
Loving every lick of your tongue and all the ways
You express how you feel, with every tantalizing kiss
The passion in your soul, the unadulterated bliss
When you take me completely I die a hundred thousand times

DEAR “J”
The volumes I write are from the heart
Distance is no object nor being apart
I know I speak from deep within
I know I’m not perfect nor free of sin
But this I know what I say to you
These words are from my soul and all are true
Never have I loved one so much
Your soul, my heart has blessed and touched
Perhaps I’ll never understand why
Many years I wrote through the tears I’d cry
But I write with honesty and integrity
How we met must have been planned a serendipity
For although you’ve caused me so much pain
I won’t hold it against you nor to blame
For in doing so my soul has grown in strength
So I guess the reasons well must have been meant
For I am blessed I have felt true love
One so beautiful and given from above
Much more truer and deeper than the physical transient kind
Even though the despair at times nearly lost me my mind
So dear “J” I write to tell you I still love you unconditionally
Constantly unchanged forever and for all eternity

Dear “J”
For the deepest love I have ever known
Through the pain my soul’s enriched and I have grown
