CUPID'S SURPRISE
How it happened I don't know
Crept up unknowing, couldn't walk away
Just couldn't let you go
I tried to put you out of my mind
But you were there, always there
And you were so sweet and kind
Cupid's arrows have this way
Of striking the unaware
And making the struck, stay
Of trying to run away and hide
I just could no longer hold back the tide
So here I am bearing my soul
I give you my heart, its tattered and barely whole
But it feels right to let you have it such as it is
My head is swimming with thoughts such as this
You crept in under my skin
I'm smiling as I say, I wasn't going to let you in!
But you've etched your impression on my brain
And now I can no longer be the same
So I stand before you and look deep in to your eyes
And know for all of cupid's surprise
No one is more so than I
No point in arguing, why?
Just accept we don't chose when to fall in love
