“It was a very special moment for John's spirit was awakening and he was opening up, I had touched and resonated with his soul. It was more than just cyber sex, more than making love with someone you loved, it was blending souls as soul mates do and it was an incredible moment for the two of us. We both cried beautiful happy tears”
Astrid Brown, A Psychic Affair: A Romantic Novel
"I don't know what you have done, my mind is not my own
For you have magicked me for my feelings for you have grown
I did not set to fall in love, for you must have cast a spell
For you have bewitched me and all my doubts dispel
What spell have you cast to enchant me like this?
To make me fall in love and ache for your kiss”

“I heard your whispered fantasies so clear
Softly told in my ear
I opened my eyes you weren't there
So real my dream, I was so aware
But we'll meet again so certainly
In our whispered fantasy”
Astrid Brown, Whispered Fantasies

In Times of........

In Times Of

by Kit McCallum

My soul drifts aimlessly in times of hopelessness.
It searches tirelessly for meaning and truth ...
Yet finds no direction.

My heart bleeds quietly in times of loneliness.
It yearns to find warmth and happiness ...
Yet it somehow eludes me.

My eyes seek out visions in times of want.
They gaze endlessly through the blackness that envelops them ...
Yet they cannot see the light.

My ears listen earnestly in times of silence.
They search for familiar sounds to comfort and console ...
Yet they cannot penetrate the darkness that surrounds me.

My arms reach out frantically in times of despair.
They seek strength and compassion to enfold me ...
Yet they find nothing substantial to enwrap.

My mind cries out desperately in times of solitude.
It poses intense questions that demand answers ...
Yet there are none to be found.

My hand reaches out earnestly in these times of confusion.
It dials the number of a familiar and calming voice ...
And gratefully, my lifeline to sanity ... remains intact.

The Saga of My Tears

Saga Of My Tears
© By Derrick T. Pike

I sit all alone in this room
As memories unfold

Tears streaming down my face again
This pain never grows old

Some say it's a state of mind
But it's my heart that really hurts

I only aim to please you all
But what's a smile really worth?

This is the story of my life
The saga of my tears

A story told a thousand times
Remade over the years

If you listen up closely
Maybe you might hear

The beating of my heart
And the saga of my tears

They say that life's a trip
I hit the ground face first

Lost everything I ever wanted
But it could have been worse

Or that's what they tell me
Do they sit alone in the dark?

Or stare into broken mirrors
Thinking it's the pieces of their heart

This is the story of my life
The saga of my tears

A story told a thousand times
Remade over the years

If you listen up closely
Maybe you might hear

The beating of my heart
And the saga of my tears

This is the saga of my tears
A saga that never ends

This a the saga of my tears
That fall from cheeks til the end

Its Beautiful isn't it?

I am planning on going back here this year on the coast of the Adriatic, sitting right by that Olive tree in the sunset listening to the waves lap against the shore.

Why are people not what they seem?

This puzzles me greatly, there is so much deception and scams in this world and I cant understand why people just cant be honest. Is there any point in it for you only seek to harm yourselves. Living a lie only hurts yourself in the end and it hurts lots of people and I cant understand why there is this striving to be better than the next person. Is it greed that is behind it? or is it sloth or one of the other deadly sins? Who knows? These people would find eventually by just being yourself and letting your own character show, you would find people of like-minds would flock to you for the common good and for the development and blossoming of your own souls.

We are all here incarnated to help one another develop to learn what life is all about to learn and grow into better more rounded personalities, to accept none of us are perfect, but at the same time, be the best we can be, is that so bad?

I would appreciate others views on this subject

Barbie & Ken's letters to Santa

Barbie's letter to Santa...

Dear Santa,
Listen you fat little troll, I've been helping you out every year, playing at being the perfect Christmas Present, wearing skimpy bathing suits in frigid weather, and drowning in fake tea from one too many tea parties, and I hate to break it to you Santa, but IT'S DEFINITELY PAY BACK TIME!

There had better be some changes around here this Christmas, or I'm gonna call for a nationwide melt down (and trust me, you won't wanna be around to smell it).

So, here's my holiday wish list for 2000. . .

1. A nice, comfy pair of sweat pants and a frumpy, oversized sweatshirt. I'm sick of looking like a hooker. How much smaller are these bathing suits gonna get? Do you have any idea what it feels like to have nylon and Velcro up your butt?

2. Real underwear that can be pulled on and off. Preferably white. What bonehead at Mattel decided to cheap out and MOLD imitation underwear to my skin?!? It looks like cellulite!

3. A REAL man ... maybe GI JOE. Hell, I'd take Tickle-Me-Elmo over that wimped-out excuse for a boy toy Ken. And what's with that earring anyway? If I'm gonna have to suffer with him, at least make him (and me) anatomically correct.

4. Arms that actually bend so I can push the aforementioned Ken-wimp away once he is anatomically correct.

5. Breast reduction surgery. I don't care whose arm you have to twist, just get it done.

6. A jog-bra. To wear until I get the surgery.

7. A new career. Pet doctor and school teacher just don't cut it. How about a systems analyst? Or better yet, a public relations senior account exec!

8. A new, more 90's persona. Maybe "PMS Barbie", complete with a miniature container of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and a bag of chips; "Animal Rights Barbie", with my very own paint gun, fitted with a fake fur coat, bottle of spray on blood and handcuffs; or "Stop Smoking Barbie," sporting a Nicotrol patch and equipped with several packs of gum.

9. No more McDonald's endorsements. The grease is wrecking my vinyl.

10. Mattel stock options. It's been 37 years-I think I deserve it.

Okay Santa, that's it. Considering my valuable contribution to society, I don't think these requests are out of line. If you disagree, then you can find yourself a new bitch for next Christmas. It's that simple.

Yours Truly,

Ken's letter to Santa...

Dear Santa,
I understand that one of my colleagues has petitioned you for changes in her contract, specifically asking for anatomical and career changes. In addition, it is my understanding that disparaging remarks were made about me, my ability to please, and some of my fashion choices. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of some of issues concerning Ms. Barbie, and some of my own needs and desires.

First of all, I along with several other colleagues feel Barbie DOES NOT deserve preferential treatment - the bitch has everything.

I, along with Joe, Jem, Raggedy Ann & Andy, DO NOT have a dream house, corvette, evening gowns, and in some cases the ability to change our hair style. I personally have only 3 outfits which I am forced to mix and match at great length. My decision to accessorize my outfits with an earring was my decision and reflects my lifestyle choice.

I too would like a change in my career. Have you ever considered "Decorator Ken", "Beauty Salon Ken", or "Out Of Work Actor Ken"? In addition, there are several other avenues which could be considered such as: "S&M Ken", "Green Lantern Ken", "Circuit Ken", "Bear Ken", "Master Ken". These would more accurately reflect my desires and perhaps open up new markets.

And as for Barbie needing bendable arms so she can "push me away," I need bendable knees so I can kick the bitch to the curb. Bendable knees would also be helpful for me in other situations - we've talked about this issue before.

In closing, I would like to point out that any further concessions to the blond bimbo from hell will result in action be taken by myself and others. And Barbie can forget about having Joe - he's mine, at least that's what he said last night.

If I could have just one more day,
To spend my time with you.
I'd love to sit and talk awhile,
Instead of feeling blue.

It's just so hard when we're apart,
The days just seem so long.
For my longing and your touch,
It leaps off the page of a song.

If I could turn up the hands of time,
I'd be standing in front of you.
I'd reach out to feel your touch,
I know you'd love that too.

If you see me in your dreams,
You know that I am there.
To show you all my love from me,
And show how much I care.

So if you're sitting there wondering,
Of what it is I do.
I'm wrapping my love up in a box,
And sending it off to you.
